Relaxation Head Massage

Your massage experience is shaped by your body’s responses and your input. I draw from Swedish, deep tissue, cupping, and myofascial methods, mixing and matching as needed for your comfort and goals. As your needs change, so does my approach. I’m passionate about learning expanding my skills and enjoy integrating new modalities into your sessions when they can benefit you, ensuring your care is relevant and customized.

SWEDISH MASSAGE

A classic relaxation technique using flowing strokes to reduce stress, improve circulation, and ease muscle tension. Proven to lower cortisol and boost mood, it’s ideal for unwinding and mild stiffness.

DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE

Targets chronic pain and deep muscle tension with focused pressure. Research suggests it aids pain relief, breaks up adhesions, and improves mobility in overused or injured areas.

WU'S HEAD MASSAGE

A traditional Chinese massage technique that targets the scalp, face, neck, and shoulders using gentle, precise manipulations based on Tui Na and acupressure principles.

This specialized technique offers benefits such as relief from headaches, eye strain, neck and shoulder tension, stress reduction, and improved circulation. This therapy also helps alleviate symptoms related to insomnia, migraines, and mental fatigue, promoting relaxation and mental clarity.

Wu's Head Massage complements regular massage therapy by enhancing energy flow, reducing muscle tightness, and supporting overall physical and emotional well-being.

MYOFASCIAL STRETCHING

A therapist-assisted, table-based stretching technique that focuses on releasing tension and improving flexibility in the fascia-the connective tissue surrounding muscles, joints, and organs. It uses gentle, multi-directional, and rhythmic stretching movements combined with joint traction to increase range of motion, reduce pain, and enhance overall body function.

Unlike traditional stretching, fascial stretching targets entire fascial lines and joint tissues through controlled, flowing motions that engage the nervous system for relaxation and decompression, promoting better posture, muscle balance, and injury prevention.

CUPPING

This therapeutic technique uses controlled suction to release muscle tension and improve circulation. The lifting action helps alleviate pain while promoting tissue recovery. Treatment options include stationary cups for focused release or gliding cups for broader muscle groups. Temporary circular marks may appear but fade within 3-7 days.

Clients experience reduced stiffness, enhanced mobility, and improved recovery. The technique complements massage therapy by increasing blood flow to targeted areas.
